Affectionately known as Dove, she has been with us since a foal and has been carefully handled, educated and developed throughout her entire life. She is rising six this July and is now ready for the right experienced rider to continue her journey.

Dove possesses truly outstanding natural ability. Her movement is expressive, uphill and naturally balanced, with the quality to develop through the levels and the potential for FEI Pony Dressage. Equally impressive is her scope—she is an athletic jumper with an incredible natural technique and plenty of power, seemingly equipped with built-in springs. She has all the attributes to excel in showjumping and would also make an exciting dressage prospect. While she could certainly event, we particularly see her shining in either pure dressage or showjumping.

She is being offered for sale because she is not suitable for children or inexperienced riders or handlers. Dove’s personality quirk is that she is an opinionated, dominant mare who will happily assume the leadership role if allowed. She is best suited to a confident adult who understands mares, establishes clear boundaries and appreciates that her intelligence is one of her greatest strengths.

Under saddle, Dove has proven to be enjoyable the majority of the time, consistently showcasing her natural athleticism, movement and scope. While her reactive side is far less common under saddle than it is on the ground, it can occasionally present if she becomes triggered or overstimulated. She has also been ridden by a child and has mostly been very good under saddle. On the ground she can be incredibly sweet, affectionate and loving; however, her reactive, opinionated nature can resurface at times. We are happy to discuss her personality and management openly with genuine buyers.

Dove is not for everyone—and that’s perfectly okay. She deserves a home that understands and appreciates her for who she is. If you have the experience and know-how to manage her personality quirk, you will have yourself an exceptional competition pony with all the talent, movement and scope to excel at a high level.
