Smashing 148cm Gelding

Jack really is the dream Connemara.

A 9-year-old 148cm grey registered Connemara gelding with a serious record, a classic stamp and the sort of experience that is very hard to find.

He has competed successfully up to 1.10m, with numerous wins and placings, including winning the 148cm 1.10m at Longford Agri Show. He has also competed to Foxhunter on the pony BS circuit and qualified for Blue Chip 2026.

Jack was started in Ireland and has turned his hoof to just about everything. He has hunted, cross-country schooled, jumped hedges, ditches and stone walls, and is equally happy hacking alone or in company. Busy farm traffic does not bother him.

He is a proper classic Connemara type with plenty of presence, and he genuinely loves his work.

Despite all his experience, he is still well within JC points as his current family have not campaigned him heavily in BS over the last three years. That leaves a lot of opportunity for someone wanting to target Newcomers, Foxhunter second rounds or the JC Hickstead qualifiers.

He would also make a cracking working hunter prospect.

One of the nicest things about Jack is just how straightforward he is. He is a lovely, genuine, non-quirky pony and is snaffle mouthed at all times. He is naturally forward-going, but he has brakes.

He has been jumped by a petite 10-year-old girl, taking her straight over 1.20m.

No vices or medical issues. He does have a small sarcoid which has never caused him any problems.

Jack has been in the same family for the last three years and has been thoroughly enjoyed. He now deserves the very best of homes.

A seriously smart, experienced and versatile Connemara with a lot still to offer.
