Brock Blizzard – 148cm Class 1 Stallion

Some ponies are harder to advertise than others, and Brock Blizzard is very much one of those.

A 15-year-old, 148cm Class 1 Connemara stallion, N/HWSD, Brock has spent years teaching children not only how to ride, but how to compete — and how to win.

He has an exceptional record built over many seasons, with hundreds of wins and placings across Ireland and at Fontainebleau in France.

His achievements include competing from 90cm to 1.10m with SJI, working hunter classes up to 1.15m, winning an RDS performance class and gaining placings in both RDS and Clifden working hunter classes.

He has numerous working hunter wins and placings throughout Ireland, more than 20 Interprovincial class wins, including wins in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and over 25 wins and placings at the National Pony Championships.

At his last Cavan HPI show, Brock competed in six classes, winning four and placing in the others. Across Cavan alone, he has accumulated more than 70 wins and placings.

He has also won numerous leagues and leading rider awards over the years.

Brock is genuinely versatile and has taken part in:

• Showjumping
• Working hunter
• Performance classes
• Flat ridden classes
• Dressage
• Hunter trials
• Hunting

He is ridden in a snaffle and is described as kind, gentle and exceptionally straightforward to do in every way.

At 15, he is fit, healthy and requires no maintenance.

Brock has been a true family pony and an extraordinary teacher — the sort that gives children confidence, experience and memories that are very difficult to replace.

A genuine all-round competition Connemara with a huge record and, more importantly, the temperament to match.
