🍀 PADDY 🍀

14.2hh | 5yo | Registered Connemara Gelding | N/HWSD

A lovely, genuine young Connemara gelding with a fantastic temperament, quality breeding and plenty of potential.

Paddy has been with us since he turned 3 and has been given plenty of time to mature and develop without being rushed. He is a very loving, friendly pony who enjoys attention and would love his own person to fuss and adore him.

He is a pleasure to have around and is excellent to handle — easy to catch, groom, tack up, trim, rug, load and travel. He is good for the farrier and has never been shod while with us.

Paddy is happy living in or out and has previously lived out happily in a large mixed herd. He has never been clipped while with us.

He is clean-limbed with no lumps or bumps and no stable vices.

Under saddle, Paddy is forward and willing without being strong. He has lovely, big paces for a pony and nice natural movement.

He enjoys his hacking and is happy to go in front, behind or alongside another horse. He has been ridden on the road and is sensible with passing traffic and cyclists. He is used to a busy yard environment and has been around dogs, cats, pigs and donkeys. He is not a naturally spooky pony.

In the school, Paddy is still at the early stages of his education but is progressing well and is a quick learner. He has three basic paces and is beginning to work in an outline in walk and trot. His canter is still developing and will improve with strength, balance and further schooling.

He has only recently started popping small fences under saddle. He is also happy working over poles.

Paddy has been deliberately produced slowly and has not been rushed, so he is now looking for someone who will continue his education and bring out his potential.

He has all the ingredients to make a lovely Pony Club, riding club or competitive teenager’s pony and we feel he could turn his hoof to a variety of disciplines with the right education and partnership.

Paddy is not suitable for a novice rider at this stage. He would suit an experienced rider, competitive teenager or knowledgeable home looking for a quality young Connemara to produce and progress with.

He is a very kind, affectionate pony who really enjoys having a relationship with his person. We are looking for a 5⭐️ knowledgeable home where Paddy can continue his education and fulfil his potential.
