Polo - Class 1 five year old mare

Polo is a 5-year-old, 14.2hh grey Class 1 Connemara mare, HWSD N/N, with a kind nature and a really straightforward outlook.

She has had a thoughtful start to her education. During the winter of her 4-year-old year, she spent time hacking and seeing the world, which has helped make her a confident, happy hack. She was then given time off to mature before returning to work in March, when she began schooling with a professional.

Polo has three balanced, quality paces and is very rhythmical for her age. She works forward into a soft, consistent contact and is proving very willing to learn.

She is still developing over fences, but has shown herself to be brave and genuine. She has been to arena hires, cross-country schooling and has done plenty of hacking and flatwork. At a recent showjumping arena hire, she jumped everything first time, including water trays, fillers and a variety of fences.

She is forward-going without becoming tense or flustered, enjoys her work and is very rewarding to ride.

On the ground, Polo is easy to handle, good with the farrier and travels well. She is up to date with vaccinations, dentistry and farrier care.

A lovely young mare with the temperament and attitude to become a firm yard favourite.
